Counterpunch Parkinson’s Coach Certification
Everything you need to run a Counterpunch Parkinson’s program: boxing skills, a Parkinson’s intensive and a live class with real boxers.
About the course
The Counterpunch Parkinson’s Coach Certification Program brings together professionals who share a passion for helping people fight back against Parkinson’s. It’s built on the latest research showing how high-intensity exercise helps ease the effects of Parkinson’s, and on results our boxers and their families can see and feel.
What to expect
Over two full days you’ll be hands-on in the gym and in the classroom. In the gym, you’ll cover boxing basics with a focus on safety, technique and drills. In the classroom, you’ll learn about the different types of Parkinson’s and how symptoms can differ, the effects medication can have on your participants, and how to spot and address the difficulties your clients face.
We finish with an interactive practical session, where you’ll take a group of people living with Parkinson’s through a Counterpunch class.
You’ll leave a better boxing instructor, more confident talking to your members about Parkinson’s, and better able to judge what your clients can do.
